-Chapter 1-
I stumbled my way up the worn, carpeted stairs of Aunt Jenny’s small apartment. It was one-thirty in the morning and I was drunk. My hand slipped off the doorknob more than once and, realizing it was locked, dropped my purse so I could dig through the jumbled mess for my keys. I finally fished them out from the bottom. I wobbled when I stood, teetering on tall, black heels. The door swung open just as I reached for the lock.
“Orissa!” Aunt Jenny cried, her hand flying to her chest.
“Sorry,” I mumbled.

It's back! With the goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season, the deviantART Holiday Card Project connects deviants from around the world and applies their tremendous artistic abilities in designing and creating uplifting holiday cards.
In past years, the Project has received more than 5,000 cards sent in by more than 1,000 deviants from 50 different countries/political regions. Cards were then divvied up and distributed in-person by deviantART members to local Los Angeles, CA hospitals, with additional cards given to various hospitals in the U.S. and abroad for hospital staff members to hand out

I love costumes. I love pretending to be someone else. (Which is why I love writing so much!) So dressing up, posing and taking pictures is something I really enjoy. And I love art. I love looking at pictures that transport you to another place and time; they tell a story within themselves. Being able to contribute to those wonderful works of art is awesome!
To be honest, self confidence was never my forte. I was (still am) the weird kid who liked to wear costumes and loved magic. (I have a slight obsession with witches. The Guardian Legacies is my my YA series about witches, demons, and magic) Getting my first DD is very exciting and makes
I've been on DA for a little over a month now. I wanted to say thank you to everyone! You've made me feel very welcome and I love being on here :) I am definitely still learning and figuring out what kinds of stock photos are the most useful, and I appreciated everyone who has given me feedback. I've meet some amazing artists and wonderful people through DA so far, and you guys have made this experience so fun. I'm excited to add to my costume collection and provide more stock photos! :)
The stockers on DA are tagging each other, and I got tagged. The game is to answer the questions and tag 10 more people. I'm not sure how to tag or link people's profiles yet (I'm *such* I noob, I know!) so I'll do that later once I figure it out ;)
1. What do you do when your not stalking around DA?
I'm usually glued to my keyboard working on a novel. Currently, I'm finishing Reaper, the second book in the Guardian Legacies series. If I'm not "working" (I use that term loosely since I love my work) I'm at the barn taking care of my horses and ferrets and playing with my dog. I like to go ghost hunting with my friends-we even have an unoff
